El Piton is a smuggler and would-be dictator who faced Superman.
History
He used his powers to lure his people onto a ship with the promise of a better life in America and then mind controlled them into attacking Superman. Superman broke the control and took El Piton in.[1] Superman later mentioned to Lois that El Piton returned to commandeer an oil pipeline from the inside. Even though he and his mind controlled zombies were covered in crude oil, he still went on with the plan, even daring Superman to use his heat vision on them. Obviously, this failed.[2]
