Elizabeth Chapel is the second Doctor Mid-Nite and Charles McNider's successor. As Doctor Mid-Nite, she is a member of the Justice Society of America.
History
At some point, Elizabeth Chapel took up the mantle of the Doctor Mid-Nite and became associated with the Justice Society of America. Later on, she died alongside Yolanda Montez, also known as Wildcat. The pair were buried in the jungles of Parador, in South America.[1]
Elizabeth was later erased from the timeline when Doctor Manhattan prevented Alan Scott from becoming the Green Lantern and, as a consequence, his death prevented the creation of the Justice Society of America.[2]
Later, Doctor Manhattan undid his manipulations of the timeline and allowed Alan Scott to become once again the Green Lantern and form the Justice Society. Restored to history and resurrected as part of what would later be recognized as a precursor quake to the Lazarus eruption[3], she fought alongside the JSA, helping Superman defeat the metahumans who were ravaging Washington, D.C..[4]
