Ernesto Lopez is the bureau chief of the Brazilian Embassy of the Justice League International.

History

When he is first seen, Fire and Ice arrived at the Embassy shortly after leaving the Global Guardians. It seems that he was, behind the scenes, responsible for getting the duo to join the JLI. Ernesto is a very difficult person to deal with: short-tempered, arrogant, bigoted. His father-in-law is a government official, which is part of why he got the JLI job.
