Ethiopia is a landlocked country situated in the Horn of Africa. Ethiopia is bordered by Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the north-east, Somalia to the east, Kenya to the south, Sudan to the northwest and South Sudan to the west.
History
Earth-One
In the fabled city of Ma-Phoor, the immortal Jezeba, Queen of Fury, discovered that the super-hero Metamorpho bore a stark resistance to her old lover Algon, The Ancient Element Man and tried to seduce him. Metamorpho agreed to serve as her consort, until he discovered that Jezeba intended on invading the outside world. He rebelled against her, and Jezeba ultimately perished.[1]
Just prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor traveled to Ethiopia to assist in the relief efforts of thousands of starving Ethiopian children.[2]
