Nightshade was the crime fighting partner of Captain Atom.
History
Eve Eden was the daughter of Senator Wayne Eden and Maggda Eden. Eve inherited the ability to cross dimensions through the shadows from her mother,[1] a Princess from the Land of the Nightshades.[2] As a superhero adventurer, under the alias Nightshade, she was a longtime partner of Captain Atom.[3]

- Darkness Manipulation: Can change to semi-solid shadow form, requiring darkness or step into a shadow to change.
- Dimensional Travel: She can travel between the Earth realm and the Land of the Nightshades.
Abilities
- Martial Arts: Eve is an accomplished martial artist, having been tutored by Tiger, the former partner of the World War II era superhero Judomaster.[4]

- Eve Eden actually has blond hair and wears a black wig as Nighshade.
- This version of Nightshade, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022–2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
- This Nightshade version is considerably less powerful than her modern counterparts.
Trivia
- For a brief time in 1983, before the rights to Charlton Comics characters were purchased by DC, AC Comics was able to license the characters, and in Americomics Special #1, a superhero team called the Sentinels of Justice debuted, with Blue Beetle being one of the members. This version of the team would never be seen again after DC's purchase of Charlton's characters.
