Synopsis for "High Stakes"
The Justice League continues their battle against General Synge's killer robots[1] after the apparent vaporization of Captain Atom. The surviving heroes retreat and argue about what their purpose is and if they should bother trying to win the battle or leave for their safety.
Meanwhile, Synge attacks an assistant who questions his desire to kill the League and Ronnie Raymond begins chemotherapy with Skeets as his companion. The League regroups to attack again but their plan fails and just as they are about to be killed, Atom reappears from a time jump to save them.
