Synopsis for "Extreme Reaction"

The other members of the new Justice League are saved by team leader Captain Atom and the killer robots sent by General Denton Synge begin to gain consciousness and squabble amongst themselves about whether it is right to fight the heroes. An enraged Synge monitors the events and kills his assistant.

The League are led to Synge by one of the robots who has gained a conscience. He makes an offer to the heroes to be his personal army but Atom rejects him. The general was a hologram and even more robots are deployed to kill the League. Atom and Maxima are led to the real General Synge and once they confront him in person, he uses a remote control to kill the self-aware robot. As it dies, it takes Synge with him in an explosion.

An exhausted and cancer-stricken Ronnie Raymond calls Oberon to meet him and Skeets for companionship and he bursts into flame.
