Synopsis for "Housekeeping"

Captain Atom attempts to convince Maxima to come back with him to the Justice League but she explains that she desires a family with him and when he rejected her,[1] she was hurt. Atom explains how he is also heart-broken from a prior relationship and that other Leaguers have emotional baggage or dysfunctional families.

Blue Beetle investigates Firestorm's newly-returned powers but his testing is cut short when Booster Gold exits their Mount Thunder headquarters in a rage to find his former manager Dirk Davis. Davis owes him millions of dollars and as he confronts him, Beetle catches up to him threatening Davis. The two make plans to go into business together when they get the money from Davis.

Atom calls Bette Sans Souci to discuss their relationship. Maxima walks in during the discussion and Atom tries to explain how his feelings are complicated. Sans Souci tells him to turn on the news and he finds Monarch on the screen.
