The Eye was an enemy of Spy Smasher.
History
The Eye and his operatives worked in New York City, not long before the entry of the U.S. into World War II. Whoever he was, the Eye was a gang leader, a spy, a brainwasher, and a very powerful hypnotist. He kidnapped a senior U.S. intelligence officer, Admiral Corby, in order to extract important information from the Admiral, but this attempt was thwarted by Spy Smasher. It is believed that the Eye was arrested at this time, but no record exists of his real identity.

- Hypnosis: The Eye was an extremely capable hypnotist. He once hypnotically ordered a man to die, and he did.
Notes
- This version of the Eye, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
