Synopsis for "Not on My Watch"

This story is reprinted from Batman Beyond #1.

Batman used a gauntlet to intimidate three enemies in a warehouse full of weapons into surrendering, allowing the weapons to stay off the street.

Many years later, Bruce Wayne averted an attempted takeover of his company by Derek Powers of Powers Technology. Bunny Vreeland's kidnappers watch the news report before Batman attacked them, although he was troubled by his heart problems and to defend himself, he resorted to breaking his rule of not using guns. He doesn't shoot the gun and is shocked to see it in his hands before the elderly Bruce put his Batsuit away and looked at it, as he said, "Never again."

Twenty years later, Derek Powers and Wayne-Powers had already bought out smaller businesses. Harry Tully gave Terry's father Warren from his records, although Powers wanted to know where it was. Although Terry McGinnis was grounded, he joined his girlfriend Dana Tan at a nightclub, where he also fought a gang of clowns known as the Jokerz before he attempted to flee from them on a motorcycle. He arrived outside of Wayne Manor, where the Jokerz knocked him off of the motorcycle before an elderly Bruce Wayne chased them away. While attempting to use a phone in Wayne Manor to call his father, he noticed a bat trapped in Bruce's clock and attempted to free it before discovering the secret passage to the Batcave. An angry Bruce kicked him out before Terry went home and learned that his father was killed and that he also left behind a disk.

After looking at the disk, Dana took him back to Wayne Manor to show Bruce the disk detailing what his father discovered before his death.
