Fairfield was a city in the American Midwest.
History
Situated some 150 miles from Fawcett City,[1] Fairfield became the home away from home for young Billy Batson and his sister Mary Batson. Mary lived in Fairfield with her adopted parents Nick Bromfield and Nora Bromfield whom later adopted Billy into the family as well.
Tragically, the Monster Society of Evil sought to strike out at the Marvel Family personally and sent Mister Atom to Fairfield with a payload of atomic bombs. He detonated directly in the center of town wiping out the town completely and killing the population. Wanting to stem the tide of radioactive fallout, Ibis the Invincible used his Ibistick to save the surrounding areas including Fawcett City from further damage.
