Famine is a name that has been used by several villains in the DC Universe, usually associated with the biblical Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The original is Yurrd the Unknown, a member of the Four Horsemen of Apokolips created by the Science Squad during 52. He was a talking crocodile who infiltrated the Black Marvel Family by pretending to be a companion of Osiris.
