Synopsis for "Fanboy"
A fanboy named Finster and imagines a girl named Kimberly swoons for him on the street and her jealous boyfriend hits Finster and only succeeds in hurting his hand. In reality, Finster approached Kimberly, asks her out on a date and is soundly rejected. Her boyfriend arrives and threatens Finster with physical violence, running him off. Another girl named Sandra comes along and invites Finster to a beach party that night. Finster takes the invitation and rushes to work at a comic book store.
Finster imagines that the shop is filled with zombies and they all attack him as he enters. In reality, the boss tells Finster to unpack the new comics and watch the shop while he goes to lunch. Finster goes into the back room and draws an adventure with himself and Superman.
In the adventure, Superman flies Finster to a mountaintop. While they are talking a ray shines down on Superman and he vanishes. Four bad guys in flying cars arrive and tell Finster they have sent Superman to an alien world and plan to enslave mankind before he can return. Finster becomes a superhero. He then fools the four bad guys to transport themselves to a desolate planet in Quadrant 7. Superman returns to Earth and congratulates Finster on a job well done.
The comic store boss arrives and chastises Finster for drawing when he should be working. Finster sets about unpacking the new comics. He realizes that the biker gang is going to the beach party and when he arrives, they have crashed it. He uses the same trick as in his fantasy to convince the bikers to run to the local police station. Instead of impressing Kimberly, she becomes disgusted that he sent the gang to ruin someone else's party and storms off. Finster leaves dejected and Sandy tries to console him to no avail.
