Synopsis for Doll Man: "The Dishonorables"

A small gang of dishonorably-discharged, embittered traitors poisons the NYC water supply with an extremely potent nerve toxin, and turns the population into high-strung nervous wrecks. Then the gang collaborates with the Luftwaffe to bring about a bombing raid on New York City.

Doll Man busts up the gang, and learns from one member the antidote for the nerve poison. It's salt, which a thirsty person would never consider consuming. He gets to the Mayor's office and broadcasts a message on radio, advising everybody to eat salt right away. And it's none too soon, either, because the bombers are on their way. But the salt works very quickly, so New Yorkers both civilian and military, regain their wits, deploy their air defenses, and defeat the air-raid.

According to Betty, Alice really killed herself because of bad grades, and the mother's ghost was wrongly blaming the sorority. Alice's ghost appears to Zero, asking for help with this matter.

Zero's first attempt to communicate with the killer ghost fails completely, and afterward the ghost sneaks up on Zero and bludgeons him over the head with a wooden chair, knocking him out. Then the ghost kidnaps Betty out of her room, takes her to a pond in the garden outside, and tries to drown her.
