Felicia Kyle src

Felicia Kyle spent some time in Atchafalaya State Prison in Louisiana and when the small-time safe cracker Al Cowper is murdered at the Hotel Imperial in Gotham, Selina Kyle (Felicia's sister) appeared in Bruce Wayne's penthouse to tell Bruce that Felicia's life may be in danger, as a hired killer will pose as a guard in Atchafalaya Prison and then murder her. She tells Bruce that she needs a friend to turn to, but ponders about how whenever she tells Bruce of some trouble, the Batman always appears to sort it out. Bruce tells Selina to call the authorities, but Selina does not and turns away while thinking about how she didn't tell him the full story.

Later in Bayou Lafourche, Calvin Traller, Mama Thibodaux and Lubin Thibodaux are talking about the recent prison escape and how Mama Thibodaux's clothes are continuously getting stolen from the line when they are interrupted by Felicia Kyle burying something near their house. Calvin Traller and Lubin Thibodaux run after her after figuring out that she was the one stealing the clothes, but after she runs across a fallen branch she awakes the Swamp Thing, and Swamp Thing grabs Calvin Traller's 12-gauge gun and snaps it in two by hitting it against his leg. Calvin Traller falls back from the surprise of this.

Then, the Batman appeared flying his Whirly-Bat over Bayou Lafourche and thinking about how he would have investigated Selina's story a few days later if he didn't find out that Felicia was an indicated suspect in the same diamond heist as Al Cowper, and he figures that it is too coincidental that someone wants to kill Felicia and she was a suspect in the same diamond heist that Al Cowper was in, a man who was recently murdered. Her killer could not murder her in the prison, however, as they did not predict Felicia escaping the prison. Felicia was still in a 50-mile radius of the prison when the Batman spotted her from the Whirly-Bat. Batman then overlooked Swamp Thing tossing Calvin Traller into Lubin Thibodaux, and them both crashing into a tree.

One of them fired a shot at the Whirly-Bat, and Batman had to dive from it in order to save himself. Swamp Thing found Felicia Kyle lying in a dirty puddle with her legs tangled up in vines, but when he went to help her she told him to get back. Swamp Thing lifted her out of the vines and threw her away to get her to safety, but Swamp Thing did not have enough time to move and the Whirly-Bat hit him in the back. Swamp Thing was merely injured but had toppled onto the ground with the Whirly-Bat still on top of him.

Batman then woke up in a shallow pond after realising he had blacked out and found Felicia Kyle, Lubin and Calvin missing. He then saw Swamp Thing lying under the Whirly-Bat and lifted it up for him, but he was unconscious. Batman turned on a torch to find Felicia's body lying in the grass with its neck snapped. He questioned if the hired killer had caught up to her.

  • No other version of Felicia Kyle has been seen.
  • Felicia did not go to Atchafalaya prison because of her supposed involvement in the diamond heist, but in a completely unrelated incident.
  • She was only shown on the front cover and in 13 panels in the comic that she died in.
