Capitana Felina is the wife and partner in crime of the pirate Leatherwing.

Leatherwing

Capitana Felina was born and raised as a noblewoman in Castile, Spain, but eventually became a pirate, her name feared in the ports under the rule of the Spanish Empire.

Capitana Felina becomes part of The Laughing Man's crew after he helps put down a mutiny against her aboard her ship. Together they hatch a scheme to seduce Leatherwing in order to learn the location of Bat's Cay, the place where Leatherwing keeps his fortune. Capitana Felina assumes the disguise of a noblewoman named Countess Maria Consuela Esperanza Fortuna Domingo Disantis, pretending to have been kidnapped and thrown overboard by The Laughing Man's crew.

Felina and Leatherwing eventually develop a romantic relationship, and she considers betraying The Laughing Man, believing it would be of greater benefit to become Captain Leatherwing's wife than to share the fortune with The Laughing Man and his crew. However, she changes her mind when she meets Princess Quext'chala upon landing on Bat's Cay, a native Caribbean princess whom Leatherwing accidentally marries at the start of the story. Felina then continues with The Laughing Man's plan, but Robin discovers it and is captured by the crew.

Capitana Felina interrogates Robin about his knowledge of Leatherwing's marriage to Quext'chala, but Robin claims that Leatherwing does not love the princess and has unintentionally married her. Remorseful, Felina uses the ship's cannon to alert Leatherwing and his crew, who set out to confront The Laughing Man. During the battle, The Laughing Man injures Robin, who threw himself in front of Leatherwing to prevent him from being shot. Leatherwing kills The Laughing Man, forgives Felina, and takes Robin to his ship to use his surgical skills to save the boy. The story ends with Robin recovering from his injuries watching Leatherwing and Capitana Felina happily sail away while The Laughing Man's corpse lies at the bottom of the sea, still laughing along with the fishes.

The Bride of Leatherwing

At some point in her career, her ship, The Catspaw, is ambushed by Admiral Cobblepot of the Royal Fleet. Felina and Robin Redblade try to fight his men off, but are unsuccessful. Cobbletpot then reveals to them that Felina is wanted by many people who will pay a high price to the one who takes her in. At some point, while the two are in Cobblepot's custody, someone sends a letter to Leatherwing with word of their fate. He then arrives and saves her and Redblade. The reunited group then put Cobblepot in a longboat and leave him.
