Ferdinand is a Minotaur (or rather, a Kithotaur as he's from Kithira and not Minos, according to Dr. Veronica Cale[1]) and an old friend of Wonder Woman. He is a great cook and helps his friends whenever they need to.
History
Ferdinand had a long history as a friend and chef of Diana of Themyscira, but at some point he left Diana and her allies. Some years later he would be contacted by Steve Trevor and Eta Candy who recruited him to help bring Diana out of a crippling depression, which they succeeded in doing.[2] Ferdinand would accompany Diana in a failed attempt to apprehend her enemy, Veronica Cale.[1] He subsequently started working as a chef in the Hall of Justice where he earned a reputation for being able to replicate any dish in the world.[3] Diana would later introduce Ferdinand to another Minotaur, called Eirene, to help she and her friends settle into the human world after a disaster banished them from Mount Olympus.[4]

- Ferdinand was created by Greg Rucka and Drew Johnson, first appearing in Wonder Woman (Volume 2) #195. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Ferdinand first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Wonder Woman (Volume 5) #15 by Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp.
Trivia
- He does not agree to eat meat, because he thinks it's cannibalism, and so he cooks dishes made with meat to very unwilling.[5]
