Ferris Boyle was a corrupt businessman - CEO of Gothcorp. He was secretly making cryo weapons at his business. Boyle hired Dr. Victor Fries to work on the weapons, but Fries started to do research himself to cure his wife, Nora. Boyle threatened Victor to make him cease his activities, and caused an accident in his lab in the process. Boyle took Nora from Fries and left him to die in his lab. The accident transformed Victor into Mister Freeze who now sought to have revenge on Boyle and rescue Nora with help from Penguin and his gang.
After Batman defeated Mr. Freeze, Boyle tried to attack him only for Batman to knock him out.
During the credits, Vicki Vale reported from South Arkham on GNN about Boyle's arrest.
