Fighting American was a comic book created in 1954 by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby for Prize Publications. It is a creator owned series, and since then, series have been published by Marvel Comics, Harvey Comics, DC Comics, Rob Liefeld's Awesome Entertainment, Dynamite Entertainment and Titan Comics.
History
When his older brother Jonny Flagg was murdered by communists, TV writer Nelson took his identity and also assumed the superhero persona of Fighting American to avenge his death. A page at his television station joined him as the sidekick Speedboy.
