A.J. (disambiguation)

A.J. is the son of Mera and either Aquaman or Thanatos, raised by the latter in the Netherspace. He is physically incapable of living outside it, and after meeting his parents chose to live there as its protector Aquaman. A.J. is short for Arthur Joseph (not Arthur, Jr.), but he is a separate character from the second Aquaman, Arthur Joseph Curry, from the Sword of Atlantis era.

Several other unrelated characters are also known by the initialism A.J..

A.J. was created by Peter David and Martin Egeland, first appearing in Aquaman (Volume 5) #11 (1995).
