Synopsis for "The Oz Effect, Part Four"

Superman continues his efforts to end the civil war at Logamba. The toxic gas launched by the rebels has reached the capital, but Superman quickly redirects it into the atmosphere and moves it into outer space, where it harmlessly dissipates. With the gas neutralized, Superman captures both Logamba's monarch and the rebel leader and stands them on a lone hill, where he forces them to settle their differences like civilized people.

At Metropolis, Jimmy, Perry and Steve attempt to look for Jon, who got separated from them after J.B. was killed. Meanwhile, Lois uses Jimmy's signal watch to call Superman.

At the Fortress of Solitude, Jor-El shows Superboy a hologram a Bliss, a perfect world where everyone has superhuman abilities and they can use those abilities without fear or shame. When Jor-El tells Jon his family is invited to join him, Jon says Lois wouldn't be allowed to join because she has no superpowers. Jor-El replies she has a superpower of her own: her mind. Jor-El tries to convince Superboy that Superman's efforts to bring peace to Earth are failing; worse than that, a mysterious threat seeks to destroy their entire plane of existence and not even Superman and the Justice League might be able to stop it.

Superman destroys every last weapon at Logamba, temporarily ending the civil war and forcing the leaders of both factions to form a truce. Upon hearing the signal from Jimmy's watch, Superman dashes off towards Metropolis. Janet and Mr. Oz's Anointed Ones prepare to enact the next step of Oz' plan: releasing huge amounts of lethal gas across the streets of Metropolis. Fortunately, Superman breaks into their secret base and quickly defeats Oz's forces, ending their threat.

Moments later, Superman reunites with Lois at the Daily Planet. Both are aware that Jor-El is behind the recent attacks. Suddenly, Jor-El and Superboy arrive at the Daily Planet, as well. Superman is angry that Jor-El deceived him and took his son, but Superboy attempts to defuse the situation, explaining that he went with Jor-El willingly and that Jor-El has been helping the Kents overcome various threats.

Jor-El says that he has done everything he could to protect Superman and his family and even now, he still attempts to protect them, which is why he wants them to come with him. Superman does not believe in Jor-El and attempts to punch him, but Superboy intercepts the attack and begs his father to listen to Jor-El, saying that if they don't go with him, they will all die.
