Synopsis for "Blackie--The Winged Sky Fighter"
The Blackhawks track the Raider to his remote hideout, inside a heavily booby-trapped mountain. They get trapped, and the Raider threatens to blow up a dam, at the top of the mountain that they're fighting on, to make one sub-team stop fighting. It falls to Blackie, the smartest hawk in the world, to carry a message between three trapped sub-teams. In doing so, the amazing raptor out-flies the Raider's trained eagles, and eludes his heavily armed gangsters, to rescue the Blackhawks.

Synopsis for "The Show-off Blackhawk"
Olaf starts taking extra dangerous risks, and seeking book and film deals, when fame goes to his head. He disobeys some direct orders because of it, and gets grounded, and confined to barracks. He finds out about an ongoing pirate raid, and disobeys orders again, flying to the scene. It goes badly, and Olaf gets rescued by the Blackhawks, who also heard the same radio report. After the pirates are busted, Olaf packs up to leave the team, but Blackhawk asks him to stay on the team so he does.

Synopsis for "The Ghost of Blackhawk"
The Skyscraper Gang captures Chuck, and their leader impersonates him, thus infiltrating the Blackhawks, in order to learn the secret location of Blackhawk Island. There, while Blackhawk putters about in lab, the impersonator blows up the lab, and Blackhawk is apparently flung out to sea. But actually, Blackhawk has become invisible and intangible, and landed on the beach. He also can not be heard. He quickly turns this condition to good advantage, and detects the infiltrator. Then the unexplainable effect wears off, and Blackhawk reverts to his normal solid visible audible self, and punches out the impersonator.

- Blackie--The Winged Sky Fighter
- When the Raider opens fire on the ambushed Blackhawks, Blackhawk produces a previously unseen handgun, and returns fire. Later on, Chuck does the same move, and damages a helicoptor, forcing it to land.
- Wait why is there a dam on a mountain top? We never see it, and only have the Raider's word for it that there was one. But he had to be bluffing, and apparently it worked.
- The Blackhawk Jets are able, under remote control, to pull off rope-ladder personnel pick-ups.

- Four Blackhawk Jets are destroyed in this story.
- Ghost of Blackhawk
- Chuck gets head-punched unconscious from behind. Being a Blackhawk is dangerous.
- Rhett's big plan was to learn the location of Blackhawk Island.

- Blackhawk Island now has a mountain, and a cable-car conveyor.
- This is the second issue where Blackhawk gains at least one super power, two months after the first. In the final panel, and in several before that, Blackhawk's face looks like Superman's, right down to the spit-curl.
