Notes

  • Killer Vulture:
    • This story is set in several real countries, which is unusual for a Blackhawk story.
    • The Vulture and his mercs invade whole towns, and fight the police, with their bare fists. They don't even carry sidearms. They get away with this for three melees in a row, in Netherlands, in Italy, and versus the Blackhawks.
    • Blackhawk gets knocked to his knees by a blow to the head from a vase thrown by Chop Chop. This is his sixty-first concussion.[1]
  • Stand-Ins For Death
    • Blackhawk gets knocked unconscious by a blow to the head with a rifle stock. This is his sixty-second concussion.[2]
    • Each Blackhawk Jet is equipped with multiple inflatable fake Blackhawk Jets, with tow-cables.
  • Phantom Raider
    • Like the Vulture's crew of raiders, the Phantom Raider's troops apparently carry no weapons. Even when attacked on the ground by the Blackhawks, they fight only with their fists.
    • When he gets sidelined with an injury, Blackhawk designates Hendrickson to lead the Squadron.
    • Blackhawk gets knocked unconscious by a blow to the head with a rifle stock. This is his third blunt instrument head trauma in this issue alone, and the sixty-third concussion of his career.[3] Being a Blackhawk is dangerous.
  • Also featured in this issue of Blackhawk was:
    • "The Perfect Double-Cross" (non-Blackhawk text story)
