Synopsis for "The Mirror of Evil"

Archeologist Lee receives an odd gift from a colleague: an old mirror supposedly made by a wizard. By translating an inscription on the frame, Lee accidentally says the magic word, "pharnegor", that activates the mirror's magical power: it creates an evil copy of anyone reflected in it. Lee's evil double, Eel, knocks out the original and stows him in a closet. Hearing Billy Batson's latest report on Captain Marvel's exploits, Eel hatches a scheme where he phones the station and promises Billy a fantastic scoop if he comes to Lee's address. When Billy does, Eel activates the mirror and Yllib knocks out the original with a stool over the head. They lock Billy up, but he chews through his gag and transforms to Captain Marvel.

Meanwhile, Yllib is on the air announcing that Captain Marvel will take over the world if it doesn't surrender immediately. The real Marvel flies to the station and carries Yllib back to the house to demand some answers. Instead, Eel activates the mirror and creates Levram, a demonic Captain Marvel. They battle and chase each other around to no avail, being perfectly matched, until Levram decides to destroy the Washington Monument to follow up on the earlier broadcasted ultimatum. In the course of their struggle Captain Marvel throws Levram so precisely he flies back to Lee's house and crashes through the magic mirror. With the mirror destroyed, all of the evil copies it made fizzle out of existence.

Synopsis for "The Monster Society of Evil Chapter 2: The Jungle Trap"

Ibac fails to escape from Captain Marvel by flying away to North Africa in a rocketship, and fails to destroy Captain Marvel by crushing him with the wreckage. After being punched into the sky, the villain uses the two magic pearls to see which way Marvel's coming from and give him the slip. Having done so, Mr. Mind tells him to write a set of false orders for American troops encamped nearby.

Billy decides to wait at the nearby American camp for further news of his enemy, and catches Printwhistle sneaking into the camp to plant Mr. Mind's false orders for the troops to go marching straight into the Sahara Desert. They both change to their superhuman forms and after an eventful but one-sided battle, find themselves surrounded by cannibals. Marvel foolishly changes back to Billy to try to captivate them with his magic powers, allowing Ibac to gag him and deliver him to the cannibals' stew pot.

A smug boy named Harry Scoffalupi tries to challenge Captain Marvel to various "impossible" jobs to see if he lives up to his press. Like play a trombone in a phone booth (he changes back to Billy, who's small enough to do it, fooling Harry), crawl through his own legs (Marvel flies so fast he goes through the legs of the afterimage he left behind), move an entire street (Marvel airlifts an entire street of condemned buildings out of the ground and takes it to the city dump). Harry then challenges Marvel to break his own leg, which Marvel has to admit he can't do because he's indestructible. Drunk with triumph, Harry then jumps off a cliff to prove he can do something Marvel can't by breaking his leg, only to realize he jumped off a cliff.
