Synopsis for "The Star"

Trigon's death has driven Raven out of control. While Zatanna tries to reach her out, Reaper kills Hugo Strange. Killer Frost freezes her and smashes her into bits in turn. Angry, Lois shoves her into a circus cage and calls a Firebird creature to watch over Frost.

Faora takes advantage of the chaos to draw a sample of Raven's magically-infused blood and inject it into herself. This magical transfusion transforms Faora into a Doomsday-like monster.

Supergirl faces her up, warning her that she's reached for a power beyond her ability to control. While battling, Kara remembers the Kryptonite dagger Luthor gave her. She pulls the knife out. At the same time, a gigantic Swamp Thing swallows Faora. Swamp Thing can contain her, but not for long.

Supergirl holds the Kryptonite dagger up, but she tells her comrades she cannot bring herself to murder Faora. There has to be a better way.

Power Girl, Superman, Zatanna and a recovered Raven melt the dagger. As Ivy fuses the slivers of Kryptonite into Swamp Thing's vegetal tissue, Raven explains the magic Faora stole is corrupt, unstable and too powerful to be handled by one single person. Three lives must be offered to drain it away from her.

Kara's adoptive parents and Kortni's biological father sacrifice themselves to depower and keep Faora restrained.

Killed, defeated and captured Hugo Strange, Killer Frost and Faora, the Siege of Leningrad comes to an end.
