Synopsis for Batman: "The Man Who Feared Metal"
A wanted criminal is seriously injured in an explosion and has a metallic splinter driven into his skull. The metallic splinter has queer magnetic properties, which require him to stay away from anything metal in order to stay alive. When the criminal starts his operations once again, he is confronted by Batman and Robin and forced to escape in a shameful way in order to avoid contact with metal.
When the thug rejoins his gang, he prepares a trap for Batman, forcing the dark knight to wear an explosive collar that would detonate if it comes too close to any metal. The thug also captures Robin and places him inside a metal cage, forcing Batman to walk near the cage and making the collar explode. Fortunately, Batman finds a way to deactivate the bomb and he is not injured by the explosion. The gang is arrested by the Gotham City Police Department, but the criminal dies on his escape attempt by wearing a hat with metal parts.
