Synopsis for "Freaks"
In West Texas, at 2:05 P.M., Rita, Cliff, and Larry were attempting to stop Metamorpho from spreading while the Chief and Simon Stagg observed. Earlier, at 9:30 A.M., Cliff and Rita returned to Key Mordaz with Larry's supposedly dead body and learned from the Chief that he was in fact not dead nor alive. At 6:57 A.M. in Harbor City, Nudge and Vortex both kept secrets from each other when Martian Manhunter informed them that the police were holding Grunt downtown before a man from Gambol's Circus came to claim him.
At 9:43 A.M. in West Texas, Sapphire and Simon Stagg were on a train when Metamorpho broke out of the containment car. At 10:17 A.M. the perimeter alarm in Key Mordaz went off when Negative Man also arrived and the Chief ordered Rita and Cliff to get him to the sick bay. At Harbor City, Nudge and Vortex saw a truck from Gambol's Circus before the Korean told her teammate about how she had met Grunt at Gambol's Circus six months earlier and when she sensed that there was a bond between them, Gambol hired her to keep him under control. One day, when Cliff and Rita showed up and offered to buy Grunt, Nudge used her psychic powers to make sure that she was taken along, as well. Nudge and Vortex went to the police station and found Gimbol taking away Grunt.
At 11:17 A.M. in Key Mordaz, Rita felt Negative Man inside of her before the Doom Patrol was alerted to Metamorpho's rampage in West Texas. As the Doom Patrol flew to West Texas, they also saw Sapphire in an aircraft drawing Metamorpho's attention while the Chief paid a visit to Simon Stagg and confronted him. Metamorpho overwhelmed the Doom Patrol inside of a tunnel before the Chief blew open certain pipes there that caused Metamorpho to revert to his normal size as Sapphire rushed to him.
