Synopsis for "Smile for the Camera"

Fred Chyre and Jared Morillo argue over whether they believe Piper really did kill his family. News reporters surround the building as he is brought in for questioning.

Linda is pulled out of class by Wally who wants to take her to the station to find out what is happening with Piper being arrested.

Two prison guards discuss Gregory Wolfe's questionable tactics when Wolfe appears behind them and one of the guards suddenly has a painful muscle spasm. Deadshot, Deadline, and Warp suddenly put Iron Heights under siege. They begin shooting people with a toxin that turns them temporarily into Joker hooligan clowns. Wolfe resists and shoots Deadline. Warp teleports the three of them to a different part of the prison where they attack Piper and Captain Boomerang, turning them into Joker hooligans. The Flash stops the attack.

As Piper is strangling Boomerang, the toxin's effect fades. He turns back to normal and continues his murderous grip. Flash stops him and sees there is a potentially darker side to his friend. Wolfe welcomes Piper back to Iron Heights with armed guards implying a beating.
