Synopsis for "Broken Arrow"

Oliver Queen is tormented by memories and flashbacks of his own brutal torture. His girlfriend Dinah Lance is full of concern for him when she finds him curled up in the shower.

Oliver visits Dr. Annie Green, the same therapist who helped Dinah when she was tortured. He is full of rage and a craving for vengeance that cannot be satisfied because Dinah killed his captors. He swears that he will find someone to pay for the crime.

Back at the Sherwood Florist, Dinah looks at Oliver's costume, stained with his own blood, and realizes how close she had come to losing the love of her life. She sees the sad irony of the fact that she had turned down Ollie's hopes for children with her, because she didn't want to raise orphans if she or he were killed. The issue has been a sore spot for them both.

Oliver feels somewhat resentful of Dinah for having saved his life, and having cheated him out of vengeance by killing his captors. Dr. Green explains that Dinah had felt the same way when he had saved her life and killed her torturers. Dr. Green reveals that Dinah would rather have died than let Oliver see her in the state she was at the time. Dr. Green pushes Oliver to face the fact that he had used deadly force on Dinah's torturers unnecessarily, that he had made a choice to kill, from which he can never come back.

That night, Dinah finds Oliver sitting alone in the dark. She explains that after a lot of though, and after seeing that she almost lost him, she may be reconsidering her stance on children.
