Quote1 You and your lady friend screwed up a two-year undercover operation and cost a good cop his life.
On top of that, we were this close to putting a lid on one of the biggest drug operations on the coast.
Now we're back to square one.

Synopsis for "The Black Arrow Saga, Prologue"

Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance happily walk the streets of Seattle, trying to come up with appropriate baby names. The return home to the Sherwood Florist, where Dinah offers Oliver a new Green Arrow costume to replace the one that was ruined after he was captured and tortured. He convinces her to put on her old Black Canary costume, and then they make love, in hopes of conceiving their first child.

Afterwards, Oliver decides to get back to work on the streets. He takes out a number of thugs in hopes of finding Reggie, the leader of the Wildhogs gang, and a drug lord. When the police arrive on the scene of one of Ollie's busts, he is confronted by Lt. James Cameron. Cameron berates Oliver for having ruined a 2-year undercover operation, and costing a cop his life. He warns that he will not hesitate to come down hard on Oliver if he steps out of line again. Oliver apologizes, but Cameron is unmoved.

Oliver runs into Eddie Fyers, now with the DEA, who claims he can offer the chance to find Reggie Mandell. Oliver takes him up on it, leaving Dinah alone and promising to come back. Fyers outlines a plan in which Oliver would hide a tracking device in a shipment of drugs so that the DEA can track the entire route, and then find the drug lords' headquarters. After which, Oliver would be allowed to do what he likes with Reggie.

While Oliver is acting out this plan, Dinah visits her OB-GYN, and is saddened to find out that due to the torture she endured years ago, she has lost the ability to bear children. Oliver returns home to find Dinah crying. She reveals that they can't have children together. Oliver says it doesn't matter, but he begins crying as well. Suddenly, the FBI bursts through the front door and arrests Oliver for terrorism and sabotage. The tracking device he planted was actually an explosive device, and Fyers has framed him.
