Synopsis for "Raising a Rock As"

At the Sherwood Florist in Seattle, Dinah Lance receives a visit from Officer Kaz, the arresting officer in a mugging that she had thwarted the previous day. He comes under the pretense of following up his case, but in truth, he's looking for a date with Dinah. Dinah turns him down, and when her assistant Marianne asks why, she worries that dating someone else will mean that she's moved on from Oliver Queen.

Meanwhile, Oliver is in Wales, helping his new friends the Jones family restore the ruins of an ancient ceremonial site. He offers his own money to pay for steel girders that they can use in a winch to raise the large stones, and Angus, the man who owns the scrap yard from which they get them, decides to help them out.

After a day of hard work, Ollie, Tom Jones, Angus and his men all celebrate their efforts. When Tom Jones' wife Laurel asks Oliver to dance, Tom can clearly see her attraction to him, but he says nothing. The festivities are suddenly interrupted by the arrival of Barton, the man who hopes to buy up the Jones' land for a lakeside real estate development. He brings with him a negotiator by the name of Miss James, who claims to be quite persuasive. Mr. Barton subtly threatens Tom's safety, and plays upon his jealousy by exploiting Laurel's obvious affections for Oliver.

Late that night, a drunken Angus returns to his salvage yard, but hears something unusual. When he turns to look, he is crushed beneath a pile of cars, knocked over by a grinning Miss James.

The Jones family attends Angus' funeral while Barton and Miss James discuss the fact that with Angus' death, they have instilled fear in any who would dare to stand up to Barton and help the Jones family. Later, knowing that their fear of Barton has prevented anybody from coming to help them, Tom and Ollie decide to raise the ruins' monolith on their own using the winch.

Just as Ollie and Tom are setting the monolith into place, Laurel arrives in a panic, because their son Tommy has gone missing with a note left behind indicating Barton's involvement. Tom rushes back to his house, and Laurel begs Oliver to stop him from going. Oliver finds Tom inside, getting a gun with which to kill Barton and save his son. Oliver warns him against killing Barton, but Tom is determined. When Oliver tries to appeal to Tom's love for his wife, Tom suggests that it will be alright if Oliver ends up taking care of her. In frustration, Oliver punches Tom in the face. They tussle for a time before Oliver manages to knock him unconscious. He prepares his bow and arrows, and heads off in search of Tommy, with Laurel left to look after her husband.

Barton wonders why Tom Jones hasn't arrived yet, and Miss James assures him that Mr. Jones will come, whether he signs away his land immediately or comes in with guns blazing. However, Oliver arrives instead, to their surprise. One of Miss James' heavies holds Tommy at gunpoint, believing that Oliver will give up and send Mr. Jones back. Instead, Oliver fires an arrow into the thug's neck, killing him. Miss James pulls a revolver, and Oliver knocks it from her hands with an arrow before taking Tommy away and escaping.

As the sun rises on the day of the restored ruins' heritage designation, Oliver returns the boy to his family, hoping to find his real home elsewhere, and leaves without a word to Tommy's parents.
