Synopsis for "Deep Cover"

The villain Undertow escaped from Slabside Island prison and abducted his ex-wife. But then he was killed by U.S. Marshals without having any indication where he kept his ex-wife. Therefore, the prison warden Dunahy invites Green Lantern to work undercover to find out where Undertow might hide his ex-wife. Disguised as the Jade Dragon, Kyle is expected to get that information from Undertow's last cellmate named Shakedown. The villain is not shy to talk to Kyle, but he does not want to discuss anything related to Undertow.

During the night, Kyle has to witness how security guards take Shakedown away. Using his power ring, Kyle leaves his cell and finds Shakedown and other inmates in a laboratory where they are treated like guinea pigs. With Kyle's distraction the inmates are able to overpower the guards and Kyle finds himself in a full-fledged prison riot. But as tensions rise between the villains, Kyle reveals that he is the Green Lantern and convinces them to let him talk with the warden. But Dunahy does not think he is violating any human rights because his inmates are not good for anything else. Therefore he orders his guards to storm the basement. Again, Green Lantern convinces the inmates not to interfere by promising to make the illegal procedures public. Kyle is able to stop the guards and (with help by Oracle) contacts the D.E.O. to take care of Dunahy.

Shortly after that, Shakedown tells Green Lantern about an underwater cave where Undertow probably kept his ex-wife. Kyle immediately takes off and rescues the woman just in time after the cave fills itself fully with water...
