Synopsis for "Yesterday's Sins, Part 2: Dream a Deadly Dream"

The Draal continue probing Guy Gardner's mind, and he relives more childhood memories with his brother and father.

Guy experiences again how his brother, Mace, was the favorite son, while Guy was always his father's disappointment. Even when Mace decides to abandon college and join the police academy, his father congratulates him. Guy decides to make his father proud through other fields, like science. One night, after working on his project, he finds Mace doing drugs, and Guy promises not to tell their dad. Guy finally gets an A+ on his project, but his father keeps beating him, letting all his work and drinking problems take over.

Back in the containment cell, Guy formulates a plan with his fellow Green Lantern inmates. The strategy involves using the robotic body of RRU-9-2 to get through the energy field containing them. Not happy with the idea of being used like that, the robot Green Lantern starts a fight with his fellow inmates. The battle ends when Voz accidentally takes RRU-9-2's head off, and the Draal come and take Guy to their mind probe again.

In the "dream factory" again, Guy learns that the slug they use for the mind-probe is a non-sentient, telepathic being who only feeds on thoughts. Guy then forces the images in his mind to change his memories. As a result, present-day-Guy shows up in his flashback and meets his 16-year-old self.
