Quote1 Each night I dream I am a bird. No, not a bird-- a warrior. And I dream that I can fly. Nothing holds me back. Gravity fades away and I am free, truly free. But each night this dream quickly turns into a nightmare... I am afraid. I am alone. I fall. Once again, gravity returns... and pulls me into the blackness below. Quote2

Synopsis for "Hawkman Found"

Carter Hall awakens in a cave where he experiences a recurring nightmare of flying and falling to the ground. He has forgotten that he was once Hawkman and lies in wait with crude weapons to fight Manhawks as they arrive to abduct other inhabitants in the large cave system. He fights back against them and chases them away to a large spaceship where they reside. Climbing a cliff, he leaps into the ship and walks into a hall of weapons from his earlier superhero career where he starts to remember his true identity. He is confronted by a dark Hawkman who claims to have imprisoned Hall in this underworld. The two fight and Hall kills the dark imposter, vowing to get to the Forge of Worlds to protect life in the Multiverse. He takes his foe's Nth Metal armor and wings and flies away only to have the costume disintegrate, like in his dreams.

In the Dark Forge, Carter, as a large Hawkgod, stands armed with a huge hammer, while his conscience is trapped inside the recursive dream.
