A warrior seeks a quest to immortalize him and believes he has found it in a dragon that is said to be menacing a village. He succeeds in slaying the dragon, but the animating spirit of the dragon reveals to him that he was a guardian of the demon-temple preventing the foul demons from escaping, and now because of the warrior's actions, they are free.

Synopsis for "His Name Is... Kane"

Gil Kane goes to the House of Mystery to write his own stories, but the editor pursues him, insults his penciling, and Kane kills him. But the editor and writer have their revenge by pulling Kane into a piece of his own artwork, which Cain comments "is exactly like what he's been drawing for 40 years" and hangs the framed picture on the wall of Room 13.

Synopsis for "Scared to Life"

A man sees a man during the night carrying a coffin who disappears after a few moments right before his eyes. The episode is so eerie that he never forgets it, and ten years later, he sees the same face on the elevator operator as he prepares to enter the elevator. This shocks him so much that he resolves to ask the office manager who the employee is, but before he can reach the office down the hall, a shuddering crash is heard as the elevator cable breaks and the operator and everyone inside are killed.
