Huntress #10 is an issue of the series Huntress (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1990.
Synopsis for "Child's Play"
In a standoff with Bookworm, Huntress is forced to drop her weapons, lest he kill Gina Manelli - a woman who claims to have been Guido Bertinelli's mistress. Huntress uses a boomerang to smash the light fixture in the hotel room, making it dark, and giving her an advantage. However, in the struggle, Bookworm escapes. Manelli claims that her tell-all book about Bertinelli is a sham, and when her bodyguards arrive, Huntress escapes through the window wondering about Manelli's statements.
Elsewhere, James Cooper is threatened by the Psycho gang, who want to force him to build them a nuclear device with which they can coerce the release of their leader Ice Money. Later, James' mother Melinda is out putting up anti-gang posters on her street with her younger son. A car full of Psycho gang members calls her over and tells her that they will take her to her son. Instead, they take her to an empty building, and murder both her and her child.
In the S&M dungeon that Bookworm now owns, he has built a contraption that uses a series of tripwires to capture death on film. He forces one of the employees to walk along the line, which trips the wires and she is shot to death by rigged machine guns, and each moment of it is captured on Polaroid cameras. Bookworm hopes to use that device to kill Huntress.
When Huntress arrives home, she finds Tony Angelo watching a news broadcast that shows that despite the fact that she had saved Gina Manelli, Bookworm had killed someone else out of spite. Additionally, the corpse of the girl he had forced to run through his killing machine was found. They discuss the black spot that Helena recovered at the scene of Gina's attempted murder, and Tony discovers that it is a piece of a business card with an address on it. Instead of chasing after Bookworm, Tony suggests that they stay in and study Wyvern's psych analysis, and Helena reluctantly agrees.
O'Shea gets a call at his home from Lieutenant Mazzone, demanding that he come to the station. Fiorello picks him up, and reveals that the Lieutenant plans to grill O'Shea for all of the information he has on Huntress.
