Irish Autumns (Earth-Twelve)

Petrifaction: Basilisk is a atavist, an evolutionary throwback with traits that were present in humanity's ancestors but are gone now. He can temporarily change living creatures into stone with his gaze. This power was previously seen in the extinct subspecies of humanity known as Gorgons.

Basilisk cannot turn his powers off, and must wear dark sunglasses to hide his eyes to prevent accidental petrifaction.

Basilisk (Irish Autumns) is a pastiche (or a parody) of the Marvel Comics character Cyclops (Scott Summers).
This version of Basilisk, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
