I speculate, despite his stating the contrary, that Hex does hold some affection for the three of us.

Synopsis for "The Six Gun War Part Five of Six"
Jonah Hex steps out of the bar and finds that his indian friends are all dead. He pulls his guns and Chako Mosquito arrives. Chako talks to Hex while two wommen approach him from behind and another assassin approaches from the side.
Hex kills two of the assassins and flushes the other four out. Two of them snag his feet with whips and drag him through the dirt. Hex shoots two more of the assassins, just leaving the two female whip wielders.
Hex shoots Chako and then turns to deal with the women who hurl a pair of knives at him that embed themselves in his chest. Hex shoots the women, wounding them. The Irish killer, Flannery arrives and begins beating on Hex with his fists. Hex pulls a knife out of his chest, slices Flannery's achilles tendon and then finishes him off with the knife.
Hex sends the two women back to Turnbull, telling them to tell him that hired killers are no good against him. Hex kills Chako and the Mexican assassin approaches, wielding a two machetes. Hex shoots at the Mexican, who deflects the bullets with his machetes. Hex holsters his guns, picks up a fallen tomahawk and fights the Mexican. Hex kills the Mexican.
