Jose Montez is the younger brother of Yolanda Montez, the second Wildcat.

History

His sister was born a metahuman thanks to prenatal experiments carried out by Doctor Benjamin Love, but Jose has as yet exhibited no such genetic quirks. He did find out that his older sister was Wildcat when he accidentally took a paper bag that contained her costume in it with him to school, though he skipped classes so he could hang out with his friends while riding their bicycles, as the bag got soggy when it landed in the Los Angeles River and the costume fell out of the tear.
