Synopsis for "The Return of Anakronus!"
While watching the JLA members' appearance at an annual telethon on TV, Snapper Carr and his family suddenly find their home invaded, and themselves held hostage, by a costumed maniac named Anakronus. He claims to be a super-villain ally of the Lord of Time who had fought the Justice League in a previously unpublicized adventure (following the events of issue #11).
He has Snapper contact the super-heroes with a ransom demand. Snapper tips off Green Lantern over the phone, though, and the Atom travels to the scene along the phone wires. Red Tornado and Elongated Man also show up to subdue the villain, who proves to be an ordinary fanatic, with no special powers or weapons.

Synopsis for "Crisis on Earth-Three!"
This story is reprinted from Justice League of America #29.
Having grown bored of being undefeated criminals in their home universe of Earth-Three, a reality where evil is the dominant force over good), the Crime Syndicate of America (whose members are the evil versions of the Justice League of Earth-One) learn of Earth-One and decide to commit crimes in that reality, hoping to be challenged by the Justice League.
Each of the Earth-Three Crime Syndicate members battles a JLA member (Ultraman fighting the Flash, Johnny Quick fighting Batman, Superman battling Power Ring, Super Woman battling Wonder Woman, and Owl Man battling Green Lantern). Although the JLA members manage to gain the upper hand against the Earth-Three villains, the CSA have a failsafe: by saying the magic word "Volthoom", they transport themselves and their opponents to Earth-Three where the Earth-One counterparts are immobilized and made prisoner.
Having claimed supremacy over the Justice League, the Crime Syndicate decides to prove their abilities superior the Justice Society of America of Earth-Two, hoping to clear the playing field for a final battle between the JLA and CSA. However, the JSA detects Ultraman's viewing their reality and contact the JLA to learn that the CSA is coming to battle them on Earth-Two, and warn their Earth-Two counterparts of their secret weapon: The magic word Volthoom.

Synopsis for "The Most Dangerous Earth of All"
This story is reprinted from Justice League of America #30.
With the Justice League of America of Earth-One defeated by the Crime Syndicate of America of Earth-Three, the latter decides to choose Earth-Two as the final battle ground between both Earths, however have targeted the only opposition on that Earth: The Justice Society of America. However, before the CSA can arrive, the JLA are able to warn the JSA about the CSA's previous victory from saying the word "Volthoom".
Hawkman battle Johnny Quick, Black Canary battles Super Woman, Dr. Fate battles Power Ring, Hour Man battles Owl Man, and Star Man battles Ultra Man. In each battle, the JSA members manage to defeat the CSA members, however this was anticipated and this time Power Ring set his ring to transport the JSA members to Earth-Three should they manage to defeat the JSA members.
Transporting the JLA members to Earth-Two for their final combat against the CSA, each JLA member is forced to fight a CSA member. Superman battling Ultra Man, Green Lantern fighting Power Ring, Wonder Woman fighting Super Woman, Flash against Johnny Quick and Batman fighting Owl Man. Each JLA member manages to defeat their CSA counterpart. And upon victory the JLA banishes the CSA in a bubble between worlds and free the JSA from imprisonment. With the CSA defeated, both teams return to their respective Earths.
