Synopsis for "Winged Warriors of the Immortal Queen"

While on various solo missions, the various members of the Justice League of America find themselves immobilized shrunk down and sprout bee-like wings before flying off by mysterious summons. Watching this effect happen to Batman, Batgirl follows him to find out what is happening.

The League has been enslaved by Queen Zazzala -- aka the Queen Bee -- who has since found a method of perfecting the immorality elixir by utilizing powers absorbed from the Green Lanterns energy. However as side effect she is gradually becoming immobile, and so has captured the JLA to save her from this fate. Around this time Batgirl arrives, and Queen Bee sends the bee-sized JLA to fight her until she can use her rod to change Batgirl into another bee-like slave. With Batgirl in addition to her ranks, she then splits up the JLA and Batgirl into groups and sends them to different planets to collect the items she needs to stop the immobility from setting into her body fully.

Green Lantern and Atom appear on a world plagued by quakes to seek out the Urn of Irrillium. Although having to fight the natives of that planet, the two manage to collect the Urn and Green Lantern saves the planet with the help of his power ring before they are transported back. While on the planet Ishthan, Superman and the Flash seek to get the planets heat globe. This proves to be a bit of a task as it automatically repels itself from anything speeding after it. However, they trick it into trapping itself in a stone in order to capture it.

Finally, on the planet Permunda, Batman, Batgirl and Green Arrow collect a rare radioactive liquid that is required. They are fought off by the planet sentient plant life who rely on the liquid to keep alive. After learning this, the heroes then instead cause a rainfall in order to collect the liquid they need so as not to ruin the plants habitat.

Returning back to Earth, the JLA and Batgirl are shocked to find that Queen Bee has already become immobilized. Quickly putting all the items together they give her the cure and she is set free. However, she refuses to free the JLA resolving she will continue to use them as her slaves. However, this is thwarted when -- at the last minute -- the Atom changes back to full size, reversing the effect of the Queen's wand on him. Queen Bee is shocked long enough to allow Ray Palmer to grab the wand. He then uses it to immobilize Queen Bee again, restore Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Flash to normal, and free Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman who were made paralyzed when the Queen Bee failed at her first attempt to make the JLA her slaves.

In attempting to use the wand to remove the yellow weakness from Green Lantern's power ring, the wand instead harmlessly explodes in his face.
