Batman Confidential #28 is an issue of the series Batman Confidential (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 2009.

Synopsis for "A New Dawn, Part Three"

At the safehouse of Leigh Carson, King Tut kidnaps her, planning to kill her.

Inside King Tut's house, Batman saves the Riddler and Goodman's computer just as the house explodes. He accesses the files, confirming that Tut embezzled money from the Gotham Museum of Antiquities, and finds the location of a warehouse he bought. There, King Tut prepares to seal Carson in a sarcophagus, ignoring her words that she helped him steal the money.

Batman and Riddler enter the lair, and Batman tackles him to the ground to avoid a trap. As they move further inside, they are trapped by moving walls, but Riddler uses his knowledge of the Hymn to Aten to escape. Batman tries to stop King Tut, but Riddler whacks him with his staff and appeases Tut by offering to kill Carson.

A shocked King Tut

As King Tut goes to kill Batman, Riddler frees Carson, but she tips off Tut and attempts to kill Riddler. However, Batman regains consciousness and subdues King Tut.

Later, Batman takes Riddler back to Arkham Asylum and asks him why he didn't kill him when he had the chance, to which Riddler responds that it wouldn't be any fun to kill a person as smart as Batman.

In prison, King Tut receives a visitor, Leigh, who wants to stop Batman. When Tut dismisses her help, she reveals herself as Ankh, queen of King Tut, complete with a new makeover.
