Lorna Hill is the owner and operator of the traveling circus show Hill's Circus.

When her father died, he left Boston Brand a twenty-percent share in Hill's Circus while Lorna and her brother Jeff inherited the remainder. Because the circus wasn't doing well financially, Boston negotiated with the bank on Lorna's behalf to put off payments.

After Boston died and became Deadman, Lorna often and unwittingly became involved in his search for his killer. She hired his identical twin brother Cleveland as Boston's replacement, in the hope of drawing out the Hook.[1]

A man named Solomon attempted to buy the circus, but this was a scheme to steal the encephalopathic transmogrifier, which had been hidden there by its inventor Alexi Kronsky, and was foiled by Deadman.[2]

Dick Grayson briefly suspected her of murdering Jo-Jo Jones before he discovered Jones killed himself and intended to frame the clown Waldo for the crime.[3]

  • Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
