Synopsis for "Yesterday Never Dies"

Shrike has Nightwing chained, unmasked and hanging upside down. Dick now remembers his captor by the name of Boone who was the henchboy of the original Shrike. Boone took Dick's fingerprints and hopes that his true identity will also lead him to the secret identity of Batman. To make things worse, the ninjas accompanying Shrike search through Dick's outfit and find a love letter which Barbara Gordon secretly put there. But then Nightwing's costume sends out an electric charge which knocks out the ninjas. While Shrike is gone Dick hopes to somehow free himself from the chains.

Meanwhile, Barbara is waken up by an alarm signal indicating that someone is running fingerprints of a bat family member - in this case of Nightwing. She has prepared false identities, but first she slows down the search process. Afterwards, Oracle and Black Canary who is a current guest at the Watchtower as well take the Hummer to drive to the last transmitted location of Nightwing.

Dick himself has improved his position a little bit, and when the ninjas wake up he starts to fight them despite still being chained. When Shrike comes back from his computer which gave him the name Chester Honeywell, Nightwing is free and ready to battle him. But Shrike has more ninjas at his side.

At the same time in Lockhaven Penetentiary, Torque is visiting a doctor because of alleged neck problems. Then Tad Ryerstad fakes a seizure so that Torque is able to take a quick look at the current pharmacy index.

Oracle and Black Canary have arrived at Nightwing's last position and they find his transmitter. Looking at an abandoned pumphouse nearby, Dinah sees a chance that Nightwing has been taken there ...
