Synopsis for "Killing Camp Part One"

During the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, a stunt involving a helicopter is sabotaged by a terrorist faction. The explosion kills more than fifty people, but as the terrorists attempt to escape, they are both trampled to death by the stampeding patrons of the stadium.
Back in Seattle, Green Arrow stops a drug deal and attempted murder, though he is more surly than usual. He is struggling with his emotions after he was kicked out of the Sherwood Florist by his girlfriend Dinah Lance when he was caught kissing their young employee Marianne who is half his age. He knows that even though he loves Dinah, and even though Marianne is half his age, he wouldn't have allowed the kiss to happen if he hadn't felt something. He decides not to dwell on it, for now, and goes to sleep in his hideout underneath the city.
Oliver wakes to find Eddie Fyers standing over him. Eddie alerts him to the attack at the Rose Bowl, and links the terrorists with a German expatriate named Gerhardt Lachner who has come to America under the name Edward Laker, and is training commandos out of Idaho. The two terrorists killed in the stampede were alumni of Lachner's training facility. Fyers has come to Oliver hoping for backup from a reliable enemy in the absence of a reliable friend. Of course, he has already enrolled both of them in the training camp.
Before leaving, Oliver stands outside the Sherwood Florist, rightly blaming himself for being kicked out of it. Marianne bumps into him on the street, apologizing for letting herself get carried away to the point where it ruined Oliver and Dinah's relationship. Oliver admits that he is responsible in part, and that he must have some feelings for Marianne. Even so, he feels that these events are a sign that it's time for him to move on.

Oliver Queen and Marianne make love

Marianne seduces Oliver

Marianne has been allowed to stay with Dinah, but she's chosen to stay at the dormitory at her school instead, because she feels guilty. Even so, she will keep working at the shop. Oliver informs her that he'll be going away for a while on a mission, and that he has things to work out. They part amicably, if awkwardly. Later, though, as Oliver returns to his hideout, he finds Marianne there waiting for him, and they make love, even if it has to be the first and last time.
The next day, Oliver and Eddie fly a jet over the mountains of Idaho. They drop a canister of supplies for themselves down before landing their plane at the airstrip. When they disembark, they are greeted by a Gunnery Sergeant Thomas, who welcomes them briefly before abandoning them to walk to the training camp by themselves as the first part of their training. As they get closer to the top of the mountain, they manage to see the camp, but when they do, a group of armed men jump out of their winter camouflage, and surround them.
