Synopsis for The Mouthpiece: "The Van Deth Brothers"
Brutal robbers Morbidd and Scul Van Deth have operated with impunity from their remote mansion in Lonesome Hollow for quite some time. One evening Scul sneaks up behind Morbidd and bashes in his head with the butt of a pistol, laughs and gloats for a moment, then hides the body in a secret crypt in the wall of their basement, and bricks up the wall to conceal it. Just then there's a knock at the front door, and it's the Mouthpiece! He has some questions about a recent candy store robbery. Mouthpiece searches the house, and in the basement, they both hear a voice coming out of one wall. Scul blurts out some self-incriminating remarks, and Mouthpiece takes a crowbar to the fresh-looking brickwork, and the horrible yowling from the wall continues. Soon a big black tom cat jumps into the cellar, it's Satan, Morbidd's cat, and apparently he got accidentally walled in. Mouthpiece keeps at it with the crowbar, uncovers the crypt, and finds Morbidd's body.
Scul tries to run for it, from the cellar to the roof of his mansion, with Mouthpiece right behind him the whole way, then Scul tries to shoot the Mouthpiece, and misses. Mouthpiece waits for the right moment, and shoots Scul between the eyes.

Synopsis for Manhunter: "The Origin of Manhunter"
The latest class graduates from the police academy, and newly-minted officer Donald Richards hasn't impressed his sweetheart with his marks; he claims he was working on a system to identify any criminal in the country. Meanwhile, he brother who came head of the class, has a meeting with Armand the politician. He asks the officer to bump off notorious gangster Consentino, which the cop balks at. The crook's overhead them, and then overpowers them, and shoots Armand with the cop's gun, framing him.
However, having heard the catchphrase of the crook who framed his fellow patrolman, Officer Richards consults his records and recognizes it as the work of Johnny Consentino, and knows exactly where to find him. Having been suspended for sticking up for his framed comrade, he decides to go in disguise, a masked vigilante calling himself Manhunter. With the help of his partner Thor the dog, Manhunter captures the crook leaves a footprint-shaped calling card when he drops Consentino off for the police. He's spurned by his lover, however, for being a pale shadow of the heroic Manhunter.

Synopsis for Plastic Man: "The Sinister Eight Ball"
A gigantic 8-ball rises out of a volcano and rolls along picking up speed, crushing anything in its path and magnetically attracting all gold and silver in its wake. Plastic Man seizes the wing of a plane taking off with his stretchy arms and lets go when it gets with in spotting distance of the enormous 8-ball. Borrowing a drill through a window, the hero makes a tiny hole in the side and stretches thin enough to fit through. The villain at the controls dumps quick-drying cement on the hero, but he likewise manages to escape through a tiny hole it didn't cover on the bottom of his foot, and capture the crooks.

Synopsis for 711: "The Education of Butcher Bowes"
Dan Dyce overhears prison gossip that Butcher Bowes' brother just died, and he's taken in his brother's two nephews. Fearing the children will be raised as crooks, Dyce assumes his 711 identity that night and sneaks out. He beats the stuffing out of Butcher Bowes and his gang, the boys tackling one trying to knife 711 from behind, showing they still have their consciences intact. The next day, the prison gossip is that Butcher Bowes is going to be taking up residence at Westmoor very soon.

Synopsis for Human Bomb: "Smashing the Submarine"
Colonel Linwood's shot by enemy spies, and entrusts Roy Lincoln with delivering an important message for him. On his way to the ship where the message was bound, Roy's plane is shot down by a passing Nazi sub. As the Human Bomb, Roy boards the sub, and after getting his companions to safety, dares them to submerge after blowing a hole in the sub. Instead of drowning like rats, the Nazis agree to surface and surrender.
