The Rulanns were enemies of the first Green Lantern, Rori Dag.
History
Long ago, a war-like race, the Rulanns spent their whole lives fighting each other, though because of their regenerative abilities, they can never truly die.
One day the warrior Korad, looking for new ways to kill his enemies, discovers a path across his planet's "Terrible Land", a volcanic, fiery area. On the other side, he made contact with the Jirenn, a peaceful race. Korad summoned the other Rulanns and they attacked the Jirenn. To their delight, they found the Jirenn could die, and turned the focus of their war towards these peace loving people. This caught the attention of the Guardians, who used their vast power to create the very first Green Lantern from one of the Jirenn, Rori Dag.
The Rulanns were rounded up by the power of Rori Dag's ring and deposited back on the other side of the planet. The path through the Terrible Lands was closed, leaving the Rulanns to battle among themselves once more.

- Able to wield weapons with all 5 of their limbs.
Weaknesses
- Vulnerability to Fire: While never tested, Green Lantern Rori Dag, as well as the Rulanns themselves, believe that they can be utterly destroyed by fire or lava
- Rest Period: Every so often, Rulanns would enter a state of petrification in yellow crust as their bodies would rejuvenate.
