Synopsis for "High Lonesome Conclusion"

Dashiel Bad Horse comes home wearing handcuffs and blood and recalls his day. It all started out with a bout of sex and drugs with Chief Lincoln Red Crow's daughter, Carol. Then Bad Horse went to a drug dealer, bought some heroin and shot up in a bathroom of the Crazy Horse Casino. He is seated at a bar, high, when Wesley Willeford, a criminal Bad Horse busted for wire fraud years ago, tells Bad Horse he will tell Red Crow that Bad Horse is an FBI agent if he does not help him rob the casino.

Over a barrel, and too incapacitated to do anything about it anyway, Bad Horse takes Willeford and his men to where the garage where the armored car arrives each day and gets them inside. Willeford's crew rush off to take care of their assigned tasks, leaving Willeford alone with Bad Horse. Just as Willeford is about to shoot Bad Horse with a silenced handgun, he is stuck with a needle in the inside pocket of the jacket he is wearing, which he took from Bad Horse at the bar. The syringe was filled with rat poison, put there by a dealer, angry with Bad Horse for giving him a beating a few weeks ago. Rat poison coursing through his system, the dying Willeford empties the gun's magazine at Bad Horse but misses. With his dying breath, Willeford tries to give away Bad Horse's identity, but he expires just before casino security break into the room.

Shortly afterward, the other three members of Willeford's crew are trapped at a roadblock and engage in a shootout with the police. Bad Horse arrives and armed with a shotgun, walks through a hail of bullets to kill all three of the robbers, safeguarding his identity as an FBI agent.

Flash forward to now, at Bad Horse's home, where he sits on the edge of the bed as Carol lies in bed. Bad Horse tells Carol they have to talk about something and asks her what she knows about the FBI.
