And even the so-called 'Doctor Psycho' is still just a pathetic rapist with delusions of grandeur.

Synopsis for "Taketh Away"
Wonder Woman appears on a news/talk television show, and the host, Frank, is a real creep. Then she handles a random shooter in Greenwich village, but along the way she has a momentary memory problem, and in the confrontation she sustains a bullet wound. It's already healing when she arrives at the Themysciran Embassy, intending to use the portal there to reach Themyscira, to counsel with her Amazon sisters. But a roomful of Drakons bars the way, and she fights her way thru them, with much more difficulty than usual, and when she reaches the portal, it explodes. She realizes that her speed, strength, mental clarity, and even beauty are fading from her, and wonders if she hasn't offended the gods, with some of her earlier televised remarks.
The next afternoon she performs some clean-up, but finds that a marble pillar, which once she would easily have pushed back into place, is now too heavy for her. At the Central Park Zoo, she encounters the Cheetah, and they fight. Diana gets flung into the Zoo's Aviary, and a number of small birds fly near her, chirping urgently. Diana defeats Cheetah by releasing a snow leopard, which attacks the were-woman. Police and Zookeepers arrive to sort out the fracas, and Diana returns to the television studio, for another awkward conversation with Frank. He makes some swinish remarks, but she barely hears him, as her head fills with a cacophony of Greek-accented curses and accusations. She stiffens in position like the clay statue she once was, and that's when Dr. Psycho steps out of the shadows. He's been controlling Frank, and now believes he has defeated Wonder Woman, and characteristically, he gloats about it, until Diana grabs him! A little bird, she says, has told her about this trap. Psycho had not known that Diana can talk to animals, thus had overlooked that ability, in his attempt to telepathically gaslight her into paralysis. Her faith in herself had been more important than her faith in her Patrons, all along.

Synopsis for "Brace Yourself"
In Diana's childhood, her mother walks her thru the Catacombs of the Island, and introduces her to Athena, who gifts her with a single bracelet. The other must be earned in combat, and the only potential combatant for her is her mother, Hippolyta, who has two bracelets, and is the best fighter on the island.
Over the next few years, Diana strives to defeat Hippolyta, growing ever craftier and bolder. Eventually, with the arrival of Steve Trevor, she finally wins a match, and the Queen's right bracelet flows like liquid to become Diana's left bracelet. Diana then dons her Wonder Woman costume and departs with Steve, in a skiff.
