Skyman is an alias used by the Golden Age hero Sylvester Pemberton, the former Star-Spangled Kid. Sylvester was the leader and founder of the Los Angeles-based super-hero team; Infinity, Inc, until he was killed by Solomon Grundy using Mister Bones. The Skyman identity was created by Roy Thomas and Dann Thomas, first appearing in Infinity Inc. #31 (1986).
After Sylvester's death, the Skyman's identity was taken by Jacob Colby, a member of Lex Luthor's incarnation of Infinity, Inc. Jacob Colby was created by Keith Giffen and Geoff Johns, first appearing in 52 #17 (2006).
